How age is calculated
- Subtract the birth year from the current year.
- If the birthday has not happened yet this year, subtract 1.
- Months and days are counted from the most recent birthday.
This is the standard way age is counted in the US, UK and most countries. People born on February 29 are treated as having their birthday on February 28 in non-leap years.
