How to add hours and minutes
- Add the hours and the minutes separately.
- Every 60 minutes carry over as 1 hour (95 min = 1 h 35 min).
- To subtract, borrow 60 minutes from the hours when needed.

How do I calculate hours worked with a lunch break?

What about shifts that go past midnight?
If the end time is earlier than the start time, the calculator counts it as the next day. 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM is 8 h 30 min.
