Spin the Wheel — Random Name Picker
Updated · Free · No sign-up · Runs in your browser
Enter names, numbers or choices — one per line — and spin to pick one at random. Great for classrooms, giveaways, team picks, chores and "what should we eat?".
The winner is chosen with your browser's cryptographic random generator before the wheel spins, so every entry has an equal chance. Runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is uploaded, stored or sent to a server.

How to use the wheel spinner
- Type or paste your entries, one per line (up to 200).
- Press Spin. The pointer at the top shows the winner.
- Tick "Remove the winner" to draw again without repeats — ideal for picking an order or several prize winners.
Yes or no wheel and number wheel
Use the templates for a Yes / No decision wheel, a 1–10 number wheel, an A–Z letter wheel or a food picker, then edit the list as you like.
Is the wheel fair?
Every slice is the same size and the result is drawn with crypto.getRandomValues, so each entry has exactly the same chance. To give an option more weight, add it on more than one line.
Frequently asked questions
How do I pick a random name?
Type the names one per line, then press Spin. The name under the pointer when the wheel stops is the winner.
Can I remove a name after it is picked?
Yes. Tick "Remove the winner after each spin" and the winning entry is deleted from the list before the next spin.
How many entries can the wheel hold?
Up to 200. With many entries the labels get shorter, but every entry still has an equal chance.
Can I make one option more likely?
Add that option on several lines. Two lines out of six gives it a 1 in 3 chance.
Is my list saved?
No. Your entries stay in this browser tab only and are not uploaded or stored.
Can I use it for a giveaway?
Yes — paste the participants and spin, ideally on a screen recording for transparency. Check any contest rules that apply where you live.
